about us
Based in Coupar Angus, Perthshire, Scotland, but geographically widely separated; we are a group of enthusiasts dedicated to promoting the use of all types of electric vehicle; from the bicycle to the bus, from electric canoes to aircraft there is a place for them all. On our site you will find sections dealing with all types of EV and with the associated science and technology.
The history of electric vehicles has not been forgotten; the origins of EVs predates the internal combustion engine and at one time it looked like it was going to be the way ahead. Ironically it was advances in electrical technology that allowed the IC engine to take the lead.
Most of the content we hope is easily accessible and will give the casual visitor a good insight into the world of EVs; some of the content we know is not; it is very technical and can be pretty heavy going if you are not into physics or physical chemistry. wherever possible we have given a summary of the more complex items.
We also have a facebook page where we welcome your comments and are able to debate items of general interest to our visitors. You can get to our facebook page by clicking on the f at the top right corner of the page.
We try and keep up to date but progress is now at a rate that makes that difficult; if you know of something we don't, send us a link so we can investigate and get ourselves and the site up to date.
